**Reports to**: Head of School Collaborates closely with: Academic and Leadership team as well as PK-12 Department of Student Services The Coordinator of Student Services and Assessment is responsible for overseeing, developing, and aligning the student support services for Pre-K through Grade 12. This role involves ensuring that all students, including those with diverse learning needs, receive high-quality, inclusive support services across campuses. The Coordinator will collaborate with leadership teams, counselors, educators, and families to create positive and effective learning environments that promote student success and align with the school's mission and vision.
**Key Responsibilities**: 1.Strategic Leadership and Program Development: Lead the strategic development of all student services for students from Pre Kindergarten(PK) through Grade 12.
Oversee and ensure continuity of the Learning Support (LS) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs across all grade levels.
Partner with school leaders to implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), including Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Facilitate problem-solving for escalated student concerns and collaborate with stakeholders to support a seamless integration of services between elementary and secondary campuses.
Liaise with the Head of Counseling to ensure MTSS and service model alignment Align school policies, such as the Access and Inclusion Policy and MTSS, with accreditation standards and ensure compliance with accrediting agencies like NEASC and MEDUCA.
**2.Support for Assessments and Interventions**: Ensure that all students entitled to testing accommodations receive appropriate support, from Early Years to Grade 12 including MAP, IB, PSAT and other assessments.
Collaborate with Learning Support staff to develop individualized interventions based on student needs and support classroom/RTI (Response to Intervention) practices.
Support the identification of Advanced Learners by administering the CogAT 3.Supervision, Hiring, and Team Leadership: Supervise and support Learning Support, EAL teachers, and counselors in alignment with school policies and goals.
Serves as lead administrative role for Inclusion Program(High Needs) including Lead Teacher and Inclusion Learning Assistants Lead hiring processes for key roles in the student services department and participate in performance evaluations.
Organize and facilitate Student Support Services team meetings to ensure cohesive planning and communication across all levels.
**4.Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement**: Act as a liaison between the campuses to ensure the alignment of the mission and philosophy of support services.
Work closely with caregivers to provide clear communication and understanding of instructional support processes.
Collaborate with the Admissions Director and participate in admissions and enrollment committees to review and recommend services for prospective students, ensuring ISP has the capacity to support students effectively.
**5. Professional Development**: Develop, lead, and facilitate professional development opportunities for educators and staff, focusing on inclusive practices, differentiated instruction, and multi-tiered systems of support.
Provide education to parents and students on relevant topics such as language practices, managing complex behaviors, and supporting diagnoses.
Facilitate consultancy work and in-house professional development events for teachers, administrators, and caregivers.
**6.Compliance and Reporting**: Ensure that student services programs meet all accrediting agency requirements and that the necessary data and reports are maintained.
Monitor and manage the Student Support Services budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively.
