The LAM Accounting and Finance Analyst, under the leadership of the Regional Comptroller, executes various specialized and complex recordkeeping tasks related to the processing and analysis of accounting transactions that are generated in the Region; integrating financial reports; as well as keeping the file of the financial statements prepared in the area.
The occupant of this position interacts with various internal and external areas. You have the opportunity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the people you come in contact with during the performance of your duties.
It is the guarantor of respect for internal procedures and is a facilitator in the operation of all support teams to maintain compliance with response times.
- Responsible for the accounting, financial, and tax closings of the SEM entity in Panama.
- Review and registration of the payroll for Panama.
- Preparation and review of financial statements and internal reports of the SEM entity in Panama.
- Coordinate the completion of annual closing activities (audits, transfer pricing, SEM annual report).
- Responsible for procurement management and payment to suppliers.
- Responsible for billing control and intercompany collection.
- Review of credit card expenses.
- Bank account reconciliation and cash flow control.
- Monitor compliance with internal accounting and finance policies and procedures.
- Assist the regional Controller in monitoring monthly closings of countries in the region.
- Perform other tasks necessary to fulfill the objectives of the position, including special payroll and specific projects, as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create formulas, understand functions, create, use, and link multiple spreadsheets, create charts and diagrams.
Intermediate level of SAP usage
Intermediate level of English proficiency
Goal-oriented to meet activities on determined dates.
Analytical skills to provide accurate data and information.
Ability to plan and organize work to perform all relevant job functions with only general supervision and prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to collaborate in teams within and outside of their work area.
Adaptability and quick response capability.
Curiosity for learning, staying informed, and asking relevant questions.
Responsible and capable of taking autonomous action within their level of responsibility.
Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in account analysis tasks and monthly balance closures, with experience in international companies with intercompany transactions being valued.
