What the role isThe Assistant Management Accountant is the key finance business partner for our new hotel in Granada. This position will report directly to the Location Manager.

This role will require accurate finance control and will certainly develop your business acumen.What you will be doingOwn the Accounts Payable function for your hotels, ensuring compliance to group accounting policy and accuracy of PO codingPrepare bank reconciliations for all accounts and credit card clearing accounts on a weekly basisTight control of accruals and prepayment register ensuring that cut off procedures are followed improving the accuracy of month-end reportingReconcile revenue on a daily basis monitoring tight cash control at locationsResponsible for the coordination and presentation of the end of month reports for including budget vs actual analysisPreparation of month end reporting pack including reconciliation for all balance sheet accountsCash flow management and controlComplete VAT returns on a quarterly basisMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesMaintain the fixed asset registerEnsure lease and debt payments are made in accordance with contractsWhat you need for the role2+ years working in a Finance Team with similar responsibilitiesUniversity or college courses in accounting preferredMust have strong work ethicsMust be well organized and a self-starterMust be able to follow standard filing proceduresDetail-oriented, professional attitude, reliableProficient in Microsoft ExcelPossess strong organizational and time management skillsStrong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skillsThorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate proceduresAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to interact with employees and vendors in a professional mannerAbility to speak and write English fluently.Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timelinessLow and High Skill Wellness DeliveryStaff who are wellness-focused and have a passion themselves (or hold a qualification) can deliver a wellness activity in the location for our Luna Loyalty Program.
