Are you ready to advance your career while overseeing the testing of state-of-the-art military equipment in diverse tropical environments? Amentum provides a unique opportunity to engage in this critical mission through our Army Tropic Range Testing Center (TRTC), which manages a variety of testing locations in lush jungle terrains and coastal areas.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As the Program Manager, your leadership will be essential in addressing and mitigating the following challenges:

  • Ensuring optimal target detection and acquisition despite the challenges posed by dense tropical vegetation and varying terrain.
  • Maintaining effective tactical communications in the face of rugged landscapes and adverse weather conditions.
  • Managing heat stress levels resulting from high temperatures and humidity.
  • Facilitating mobility for personnel and vehicles in challenging environments characterized by steep slopes and frequent rainfall.
  • Overcoming visibility issues and enhancing weapon effectiveness in densely vegetated areas.

Your leadership as the Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager will be crucial in safeguarding the operational readiness of our servicemen and women in tropical climates, in collaboration with our international partners.

Location and Travel

The primary work location is in Panama City, Panama, with occasional travel to various international sites.

Qualifications

  • Citizenship is required for the Program Manager and Alternate PM roles.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish at the Defense Language Institute (DLI) Level III is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Foreign Relations, Engineering, or Business Administration is required.
  • A minimum of seven years of direct management experience leading teams in an international context.
  • Ten years of experience within a testing organization at Army Development Test Commands Test Centers, providing comprehensive knowledge of DOD testing protocols.
  • Experience in managing teams in international settings is essential.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at DLI Level II is necessary.
  • High proficiency in technical English and Spanish, including the capability to accurately translate technical documents.
  • Relevant training, certifications, and experience aligned with the responsibilities of the role are required.
