Investment Leader for Latin America and Caribbean Regions

The MAS Latin America and the Caribbean team is seeking a highly qualified Principal Investment Officer to lead business development efforts in Central America and the Caribbean. This role involves country-specific responsibilities, working closely with IFC Country Managers to drive MAS initiatives in the region.
As a key member of the MAS LAC team, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing and leading business development efforts for MAS sectors in Central America and the Caribbean.
- Aligning and executing strategic visions for MAS sectors within designated countries, requiring a deep understanding of local dynamics.
- Identifying potential investment partners and opportunities based on industry experience, reputation, market potential, financial capability, and strategic fit.
You will work independently and collaboratively with senior staff to develop a strong pipeline of high-quality investment opportunities. Additionally, you will support the team in building relationships with key counterparts in the private and public sectors.
The position will be based in Panama City, Panama, offering a unique opportunity to develop local relationships and gain insight into the regional business environment.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing investments across various industries, including manufacturing, agribusiness, and services.
Your ideal profile includes:
- MBA or Master's degree in a related field and at least 12-14 years of relevant experience in finance.
- Existing relationships and credibility across a broad range of manufacturing, agribusiness, and/or services industry sectors.
- Strong financial and credit skills, demonstrated ability to structure various financial instruments and process complex transactions.
