Pre Sales Engineer

**JOB SUMMARY**: Main tasks of Sales Engineer is to support potential customers and partners in various stages of projects (presentation, proof of concept, detailed design, implementation, post-implementation support, etc.). Responsibilities consists in product presentation and demonstration to encourage customer interest into Progress Enterprise Application Experience products and create new business opportunities. Presales includes the organization of proof of concepts including initial setup and final evaluation. Other tasks include answering technical questions, sizing and product design and having technical presentations on events like workshops or conferences as well as communication with partners and their support and training.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE**: Technical presentationsProduct demoProof of conceptsSizing and design of projectsConsultancy services related to Progress Enterprise Application Experience product portfolioProvide live and virtual presentations of the product interface to both end users and partnersAbility to drive and manage a sales opportunity from discovery, proof of concept, testing, deployment, hand-off, and end user trainingPartner TrainingsPrimary contact for technical requests from customers in Latin AmericaSupport of partners and their activities in the territoryCommunication with internal Progress Application Experience teamsConsultancy and proposals based on RFI/RFC/RFPPresentations on workshops and conferencesWHAT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO HAVE: IT background, deep knowledge of switching, routing, TCP/IPExperiences in enterprise IT areaExperiences in presales and communication with customersDeep understanding of Load Balancing, APM, NDR, Network Performance Monitoring.Read and understand technical documents and explain to customers/partnersCommunication skillsBillingual English Spanish, Portuguese is a plus.Familiarity with products and technologies such as VMWARE, Microsoft, and Dell EMCSelf-motivated, focused on results and successWilling to learn new stuff and ready to work in teamIn-depth understanding of Internet related protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, etc.)Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Lync, and/or Microsoft SharePointMicrofsoft Azure Certifications is a plusAbility to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience.
