As a **Market Development Consultant **at Caterpillar, you will work as a strategic business partner supporting the global Caterpillar Dealers in optimizing our ongoing technician recruiting, development, and retention initiatives. This role will be directly responsible for regionally based support of the dealer HR community to enable technician recruiting, career development, and retention strategies. The role will administer various dealer employee survey tools to support dealer culture as well as align with other development tools in place with dealers such as Capacity and Capability planning, workforce development, and Technician Development programs (from apprenticeships to Technician Career Development Process Accreditations).

**Responsibilities**:

- Leverage sound knowledge, consultation, and influencing skills to aid Global Caterpillar Dealers in attracting and hiring qualified best-in-class talent through innovative and proven talent acquisition strategies
- Clearly defining our competitive advantage in the technician recruiting and retention space
- Understanding & supporting dealer recruiting and retention tactics and needs
- Provide best practices, and market trends to support the objectives of the Caterpillar Dealers globally
- Provide direction, guidance, and thought leadership to Global Caterpillar Dealers regarding technician recruitment & retention
- Engage Caterpillar dealers globally in their Employee Insights survey processes as well as their Technician Retention surveys and related tools
- Support best practice sharing among the dealer HR communities relative to organizational development, people practices, technician recruiting, and retention
- Leading & hosting monthly collaboration forums with dealer HR partners and bi-monthly tactical planning sessions with dealer recruitment network
- Partner with the Global Caterpillar District Office partners to achieve business results
- Serve as liaison contact amongst Global Caterpillar Dealers within the HR space
- Develop meaningful reports and metrics to identify areas of success and areas of improvement in our recruiting and retention processes
- Collaboration with Caterpillar Global Dealer Learning Consultants with Career Development processes

**Basic Requirements**:

- 5 + years of progressive human resources job-related experience
- Must be fluent in English (oral/written)
- Proficient in MS word, excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to travel 25% (domestic & international)
- Experience presenting to a global audience
- Experience working directly with dealers
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- 2+ years of recruiting experience
- Recruitment experience for technicians or hands-on skilled trade fields
- Bi-lingual or multi-lingual capability
- Experience in Power BI
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM, or Advanced degree in HR related field
