doubling our positive impact on the environment and society by 2025.The Technical Policy Manager in the LatAm Standards and Regulations will be responsible for the LatAm S&R project scope covering all regulations, policies, and standards of relevance to Signify and our lighting businesses.


The role involves closely interfacing with the global S&R team, multiple global business groups and Innovation teams, and the various country-based marketing and sales organizations, trade associations and standards development organizations.

Maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of our influence in standardization bodies and protecting the image of Signify as a professional and reliable S&R partner via representation in relevant industry consortia and regulatory entities.

Internal alignment with adjacent S&R projects, regional activities, intellectual property and legal, and marketing communications, and guarding the alignment between standard-setting and product development activities by informing internal stakeholders on upcoming changes in the external world in a timely fashion.

Proactively maintaining strong relevant external networks and monitoring regional legislative and competitor activity to keep Signify well positioned towards new regulatory and standardization initiatives.

Sets S&R strategies and policies, and prioritizes activities based on the roadmaps and strategies of the businesses, such that S&R developments optimally support market access and profitability of Philips Lighting products, systems, and services.

Executes S&R Projects and supervises all external Philips representations in formal standards bodies, regulatory initiatives, industry consortia and more proprietary ecosystems.

Monitors external S&R developments and builds and maintains networks with external standardization partners and relevant associations active in regulations.

Facilitates global internal deployment of standards, regulations, and policies in all businesses, by providing information on, interpretation of and access to relevant standards and regulations.

The TPM coordinates all Standardization and Regulatory activities in the region and interfaces with the regional and global S&R team, the various Business Groups and the Country Market and Sales organizations, and the Regional Governments, and trade associations and Standards development organizations.

The geographic focus covers all countries from Mexico down to Chile and Argentina with priority on Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Peru.

You'll contribute to S&R strategy setting in support of the various business and innovation strategies and you identify and create new business opportunities.

You'll quantify the financial impact of S&R activities in the various countries, and you set priorities.

You'll maximize effectiveness and efficiency of our influence in the region's countries and standardization bodies, and you protect the image of Philips Lighting as a professional and reliable S&R partner by representing Philips in relevant industry consortia and regulatory entities.

Internally, you align with adjacent S&R projects, regional activities, IP & legal, communications, and you guard alignment between standard-setting and product development activities by informing internal stakeholders on upcoming changes in the external world in a timely fashion.

You maintain strong relevant external networks and you monitor regional legislative activity and competitor activity proactively to keep Signify well positioned towards new regulatory and standardization initiatives.

Your qualificationsBachelor's degree completed in Engineering or Physical Science or related.
Master's degree is preferred.
FLUENT IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH IS MANDATORY. *Fluency in Portuguese is a must.
