Maintains and optimizes tools, processes, documentation, reporting, and technologies, and defines success criteria for their effective usage. Deploys tools, processes, documentation, and technologies, and defines success criteria for their effective usage. RESPONSIBILITIES Prioritizes own work and may have duties instructing, directing, assigning and overseeing work of more junior team members. Manager usually provides the problem for this individual to develop appropriate solutions.

Specializes in security operations in one area. Works on cybersecurity problems that have medium to high complexity, with particular emphasis on security operations. Selects methods and techniques for identifying and advocating effective security solutions. Maintains and optimizes tools, processes, documentation, reporting, and technologies, and defines success criteria for their effective usage.

Participates in reviews of available tools, technologies, and processes to secure all aspects the enterprise

Typically requires 5+ years of SOC Experience

Certifications:
One of these certifications CEH/CISSP/CySA+.

SANS GCIA, GCIHCCNA, CCIE, NGFW Specialization,GREM, GCFE, OSCP (Threat Hunting specialist), SC-200(Microsoft).Experience with Microsoft, Carbon Black, Secureworks or Crowdstrike EDR/XDR toolsetsUnderstanding of SIEM, Endpoint Security solutions, Linux and Windows operating systems, Honeypots, Sinkholes and Malware Sandbox Technologies (sandbox tools).Incident Response & Threat Hunting hands on experience.

Practical experience on OSINT tools. (open source thread intelligence tools on a SOC environment).Understanding of threat intelligence and threat modeling conceptsAdvanced knowledge of cybersecurity components, principles, practices, and proceduresUnderstanding of computer network exploitation (CNE) and computer network defense (CND) conceptsAbility to research about targeted threat groups and their tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP)


Understanding of vulnerability and exploit analysisExperience in conducting network traffic analysis and the detection of malicious code on endpoint systemsIn-depth understanding about Windows and Linux System internals (process tree, event IDs, registry, scheduled tasks, etc)Ability to clearly communicate technical observations to a variety of audiences, and strong written and verbal presentation skillsFlexible to support team during Public Holidays either in shift or On Call supportExperience with collaborating with the Incident Response teMam for major incidentsExperience with creating rules for noise reduction(suppression, whitelisting, custom rules).

Preferred (Good to Have):

  • Industry certification from vendors: ISC2, GIAC, EC-Council, Cisco, Juniper, CompTIA, ITIL, Unix, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
Experience in ticketing systems (ServiceNow is Preferred), escalations and crisis situations.
Experience on root cause analysis (ex Ransomware).Requerimientos
