The Company also operates a 753,000-square-foot facility in Belgium that serves Europe and ships directly to the rest of the planet.Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Outbound Operations Manager in Skechers is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely picking/shipping processes of all orders with maximum efficiency. The DC is actually 20.000 square mts and manages 40.000 SKU´s.
Due to our extensive growth in Latin America, the projected expansion is 70.000 square mts by 2025.Will be responsabile for overseeing the 3rd party distribution operation at the DC with the ultimate goal of ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders to customers.Will be in charge of the following Areas: Order Confirmation and ProcessingFullfillmentShippingIMPORTANT: The person has to be available to work the first year at Colón.Main Goals: Lead DC Outbound Areas to maximize operational excellence, quality, and efficiency for Outbound operations.Ensure continuous review and improvements of operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. Oversee daily monitoring efforts to ensure productivity objectives meet company/departmental standards.Confirm all shipping and picking deadlines and priority cut-off times are met.Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track success and/or recurring problems: Order Volume, Order Rate, Fill Rate, Inventory Turnover, among other.Control mis-ship and backorders and locating missing product as needed. - Plan, manage and maximizing all inventory functions. Assist with strategy for new warehouse ventures. The person in this position will be required to: Quickly learn all aspects of the operation.Delegate the daily workload.Ensure effectiveness of 3rd party performance.Train employees.Monitor all aspects of the operation.Communicate with and support the goals of sales and allocations departments.Maintain distribution management in the US well-informed of all pertinent details.QualificationsEducation, Experience and Required Skills: - 10+ years' experience in DC management. Demonstrable experience and success in most aspects of DC Operations. Significant knowledge and experience in importation and exportation related to Central and South America. Excellent business communication skills in English and Spanish, including following up, listening skills, written, and oral. A college degree in related field preferred. Experience in footwear industry distribution preferred. Experience with Manhattan Associates or similar WMS software preferred. Advanced PC and MS Office skills. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent leadership skills. Ability to visualize, create, implement, and document effective processes. Ability to create effective reporting. Ability to train others in an effective manner. Excellent attention to detail. Commitment to company goals is essential. Integrity and good work habits required. Ability to prioritize correctly. Ability to maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and correctly judge the sensitivity of information/situations.
