**GAF Panama** is looking for a **Billing Specialist** based in Panama to support our expanding U.S. operations. In this role, you will oversee the billing processes, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions, with a primary focus on billing state agencies. You will be responsible for submitting claims to the state, rectifying any issues that may arise, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Additionally, you will engage directly with Case Managers, fostering professional relationships to address and resolve payment inquiries related to state claims. Your attention to detail and proactive problem-solving will be critical in maintaining the financial integrity of the services we provide.

**Full training will be provided to ensure you are fully prepared for the specifics of the role.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Billing Management**: Process billing invoices accurately and in a timely manner for our U.S.based clients, primarily focusing on billing the state for services rendered. Ensure that data aligns with company records and regulatory requirements.
- **Claims Rectification**: Work closely with state agencies to rectify any discrepancies or issues that arise in submitted claims, ensuring that all claims are processed correctly and in compliance with state guidelines.
- **Discrepancy Resolution**: Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any billing discrepancies and fix issues that may affect state claims.
- **Financial Reporting**: Assist in preparing financial reports related to billing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both company policies and state regulations.
- **Compliance**: Ensure adherence to U.S. tax regulations and governmental accounting standards.
- **Confidentiality**: Maintain the confidentiality of all financial information and follow company policies diligently.
- **Teamwork**: Work together with the billing and payroll team, driving efficiency, resolving conflicts, and ensuring consistent policy enforcement.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: High School Diploma; additional education in Accounting, Finance, or related fields is preferred.
- **Language**: Fluent in English. Both written and spoken. The role is 100% executed on English.
- **Experience**: Proven experience with billing and financial operations.
- **Communication**: Excellent interpersonal skills for resolving claims issues and collaborating with internal departments across borders.
- **Software Expertise**: Microsoft Office 360 (Excel and Teams)
- **Attention to Detail**: Exceptional numerical and analytical skills with a keen focus on accuracy.
