**Position summary**

We are seeking an expert in collagens to step into the newly created position of **Global Procurement Manager - Collagen/Gelatin.** Based in Panama, you will manage the commercial and sourcing activities for collagen and gelatin ingredients used by Nestlé globally.

Reporting directly to the Global Category Leader, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope on a global level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies, negotiating contracts to ensure supply as per Business needs.

**A day in a life of a Global Procurement Manager - Collagen/Gelatin**:

- Define and implement the category strategy for collagen and gelatin ingredients on a global level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools, and policies.
- Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes into local budgets and price planning.
- Negotiate contracts to secure the most advantageous commercial agreements with suppliers, in line with the strategy.
- Collaborate with Supplier Relationship Management to lead commercial relationships with strategic suppliers and ensure contract performance
- Engage in developing and implementation of Nestle Sustainability roadmap

**What makes you successful**:

- Procurement/Sales Experience: Demonstrated experience in procurement or sales, particularly in sourcing/selling raw materials, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier/customer relationships.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Languages Skills: Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are advantageous.

- Sustainability Awareness: Understanding of sustainable sourcing practices and the ability to implement responsible procurement strategies.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to collagen and gelatin products, particularly in different regions.
