International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger.
The Regional Specialist leads and provides support to corporate activities including knowledge management, quality enhancement for project designs, and Results-based country strategic opportunities programme (COSOP).
The position requires a strong background in communications, business administration, management, or related fields with at least five years of progressively relevant experience.
The salary for this position is approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advocating good knowledge management practices and contributing to the building of a knowledge-sharing culture
- Supporting the regional team in portfolio management activities, including reviewing supervision reports and providing implementation support
- Assisting in the preparation of technical briefs and other knowledge products required at Divisional, Departmental, or Corporate level
- Providing technical support, including advice and capacity development to projects and staff in country offices and regional hubs
Required skills and qualifications include advanced university degree in communications, business administration, management, or related field, proficiency in English and Spanish, and ability to work in a geographically mobile environment.
