Key Responsibilities

This is a full-time legal department position dedicated to driving fulfillment of the goals of the legal department's global contracting process initiatives. This individual will act as the department’s Global Contracting Program Manager across the portfolio of contracting initiatives.
- This role requires someone who has vast experience in program management, and is business savvy, results-driven with advanced project management experience and a keen attention to detail and able to direct project teams in a complex, evolving, contracting, and business environment. Experience or knowledge of contracting principles is beneficial. Initial focus areas will include leading the efforts around go-to-market for new offers globally including terms and conditions and customer experience in the contracting process.

You will:

- Develop and manage project plans and coordinate across multiple projects, identifying risks and issues and developing appropriate mitigation plans
- Proactively manage and monitor the execution of deliverables and statuses, managing the critical path, dependencies, and contingencies
- Partner with the broader Legal Strategy & Operations team, as well as the broader Legal team, building client understanding, managing change, confidence, and enthusiastic acceptance for proposed solutions; in addition, operate within a collaborative environment with highly motivated colleagues and interact with all parts of the Legal department and other related departments at Dell
- Identify opportunities and then develop and execute plans to increase global contracting and legal team productivity and efficiency through best practices
- Allocate work among team members and provide guidance on a regular basis
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure project is on track and conduct post-project reviews
- Ensure all project documentation is kept up to date and communicated to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis
Define, support and/or drive process improvements
- Evaluate and recommend techniques and practices that ensure goal achievement
- Influence and manage continuous improvement of project/program process, practices and initiatives
- Have a strong awareness of industry trends, business conditions and internal processes and practices to meet project/program delivery requirements
- Ensure a strong and seamless relationship with each stakeholder by maintaining communications about the project to the stakeholders: customers, management, sales and delivery personnel

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Strong experience with process optimization, business process and/or data workflows and building/implementing large-scale global programs around enabling a business function
- Thought leader with strong communication skills: articulate and able to modulate communications based on audience; strategically agile; adapts well to change; ability to demystify complex activities and convey in a simple, straight forward manner
- Incredible drive for results, meticulous attention to detail and exceptional sense of quality, personally accountability and intentional focus on building great relationships, values diverse perspectives, lives Dell’s purpose and values, and is recognized as someone people want to work with
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or project management experience within a corporate legal department, law firm or legal vendor firm
- Ability to lead large complex global project teams
- Ability to communicate clearly and present at senior leadership levels
- Ability to manage risk and project decisions
- Proficient in negotiating and conflict management
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong communication, problem solving and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Detail oriented
- Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge
- Ability to influence others to achieve results

Desirable Requirements
- Other Project Management certificates
- Six Sigma Certification or other process optimization experience/expertise
