The Cash Management Market Manager of Panama & Central America is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and execute the initiatives to deliver the financial plan, Voice of the Client, risks & control and Voice of the Employee key metrics, both in Panama and the rest of Central American countries (Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala).
The position is the owner of the P&L of all the Cash Management products in Panama and the rest of the Central America countries, which represents total revenues of USD 63 MM in 2021 (GRA view), with total deposits of USD 7.1 Bn (local and offshore books).
The role requires a professional with a high level of versatility, given that must manage complex deliverables in multiple business areas (P&L, Sales, Operations, Service, Product Developments, Risks & Controls). Additionally, Cash Management involves complex products, such as Payments, Receivables, Digital Channels, Liquidity Management Services and Commercial Cards. At the same, this role oversees Cash Management business in the rest of Central America countries (not only Panama), with direct reports in the different countries (local Market Managers).
Has constant interaction with multiple functional areas across Central America markets, to ensure smooth E2E functioning operation and servicing with a high demand of development requirements to keep up, enhance and support regulatory, compliance, and business growth. Consequently, manages an effective partnership with CCA TTS Product Teams, Country and Cluster In-business Risk & Control, Central American TTS Ops, Latam Implementation Hub, CitiService / Electronic Banking Support Hub, ASO Hub, Central American TTS Sales and BCMA teams to ensure proper and timely execution of tactical and strategic initiatives, as well as support deals execution.
Works with CCA Product Development and CCA Technology teams to ensure Investment Spend and Project Prioritization reflects countries needs to provide product/capability superiority and standardization in local markets.
Regional point of contact for quicker resolution of issues in Central American countries in terms of Cash Management products, including client engagement as required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with Technology, Operations and Coverage teams to drive timely, cost effective and high-quality delivery of strategically aligned product solutions.
- Partner with Product Development and Technology teams to evaluate investments in product development, and monitor and control billing/revenue, expenditure, and benefits realization.
- Work closely with global and regional product teams to develop and refine the strategy of product solutions, go to market approach, and Delivery model.
- Work with product control functions to ensure that all relevant documentation and processes are strictly adhered to and part of the management fabric of the product business.
- Coordinate planning and other related activities for launching of new capabilities and functionalities across Technology, Operations, implementations, and regional teams.
- Work closely with the coverage teams, and core product teams to ensure that demands of the White-Label clients are well understood.
- Develop an action plan to address VOC (Voice of the Client) feedback. Partner with cross-functional and coverage teams to execute any required remediation plan.
- Invest time to keep track of Competition, market Trends and new Technologies in Cash Management products.
Active promotion of a client-centric approach; working in close coordination with Service, and leading resolution / changes required for identified issues and required improvements under a "general issue" view to ensure enhancements benefit across portfolio, participation in forums eg “Client Experience Forum”.
- Oversee product financial performance including identifying opportunities and gaps, and developing business strategies to deliver plans.
- Work with Operations and Technology with regards to process design and vendor procurement as well as communicate business plans on marketplace approach
- Develop initiatives to improve current practices, procedures and process across countries in cluster. Exert influence on different areas like Operation and Implementation teams to ensure full and timely execution.
- Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
- Drive tactical and strategic partnerships to enhance internal activities in the Central American countries.
- Develop foundation and design End-to-End procedures, with the goal of achieving standard controls in processes and procedures across countries in cluster.
- Ensure that the Capability Grids are been aligned with global and regional guidelines across countries in cluster. Ensure all country Capability Grids are been updated and are reviewed according to global guidelines.
