Purpose
The Performance Management Manager will have to lead and develop Diageo CCA's tracking culture and will have to work across all CCA markets; and partner with multi-functional stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply, and even with our Distributors when required.
This role should be a catalyst for organizational change, leading the teams to become obsessed with measuring, evaluating, tracking, and learning, to improve our short-term agility to adapt and respond in line with business performance.
The Caribbean and Central America (CCA) market is a Diageo business unit that generates approx
£389m NSV and OP:
£228. The domestic markets represent approx. 70% of this NSV and FTZB 30%. It is the most profitable market in LAC both in terms of absolute operating profit and margin. 90% of our NSV is USD invoiced.
CCA is a very dynamic market with many opportunities.
Our geographical footprint covers 3\7 countries, where different languages are spoken and we have a population of 80m, 52m of whom are LDA+.
Our model is a distributor based RTC with 57 partners.We also operate with six distributor Free Trade Zones and with two operators in the border between Mexico and the US.
We also manage several co-packing partnerships throughout the region, and Panama is home to our innovation technology center and principal warehousing operations.
The Scotch category accounts for 70% of Total NSV, predominantly playing in the Premium and Super Premium segments; Diageo share of market in Scotch varies from 45% to 75% across the region - making us the number one player.
Financial Responsibility- Manage own T&E budget and is expected to adhere to all related policies, and to not exceed assigned budget.- Support the E2E Cycle Planning Manager with the investment tracking & effectiveness agenda in line with CCA's M&E Policy.
Leadership Responsibility- The role reports to Head of Growth CCA- The role has no direct reports.- The incumbent needs to influence commercial, marketing, and finance teams and key Distributor stakeholders to focus on building and standardizing performance management routines and execution tracking.- Great relationship builder with different stakeholders internally and externally.
He/she will be exposed to influencing stakeholders at all levels, and thus need to show confident and drive at all levels.
Key Outputs/Deliverables- Responsible for ensuring the organization has performance management routines that are standardized across markets, to ensure that learnings are fed into the Cycle Planning (working together with the E2E Cycle Planning Manager, Sales Opex Managers, and CP&A managers)- Lead the measurement and tracking of the businesses' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) which include but are not limited to:- Sell-In Volume & Value (Diageo Internal Data)-
- Sell-Out / Depletions (Distributors Data)-
- Share of Market (Agency Data)-
- Distribution & ROS (Distributors Data)-
- Execution KPIs (supported w/ Sales Opex & CP&A roles)-
- VMPC (supported w/ Finance & RGM)-
- Consumer KPIs (supported w/ Consumer Planning)-
- Own the Sell-Out (Depletions) weekly tracking file that is presented every week in the Sales Leadership Team meeting and follow-up with Commercial Managers.
- Lead the monthly Market share meetings with Top CCA markets and follow-up on the actions plans with the Sales, RGM, and Marketing teams.
- Co-lead with the E2E Cycle Planning Manager the Bi-annual M&E Learning Sessions.
- Guarantee that we are tracking CCA's Battlegrounds according to the included KPIs.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence with the development of dashboards and data implementation.
- Build excellent capabilities to track DIAGEO CCA's performance to stay competitive and deliver superior business performance.
- Performs other related duties as CCA's continues to develop its Performance Management agenda.
