**Business Need / Purpose of Role**

The **Area Finance Manager - Central America** reporting Regional Finance Controller is responsible for maintaining and controlling the general ledger so that it properly reflects the financial position of the company. Ensuring that the accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory and Company policies and procedures currently responsible for different countries and currencies.

**Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities**
- The Area Finance Manager Central America region will be responsible: Mexico, Panama, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, and Colombia.
- Work together and coordinate the activities with the AR, AP, and GL team.
- Full interaction with FOPS in Chennai - India.
- Ensuring appropriate review of financial statements and monthly financials globally providing integrity and relevance.
- Ensuring integrity and adherence to the Group’s policies of the Group’s management accounts and forecasts including budgets.
- Ensuring review of regular financials and forecasts submitted to ensure compliant with Group’s policies and applicable IFRS.
- Work together with the Regional Controller for external and internal audits to provide the necessary information for to auditors and local tax authorities.
- Reports financial results monthly to port offices and follows-up with questions, training and associated assistance.
- Reconciliation of statutory accounts to Hyperion for all legal entities.
- Assists Senior Management with questions, research and financial analysis, as requested.
- Develop and maintain forecast models for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement of company.
- Analyze all financial reports and assist in improvement and execution process.
- Provides financial information to outside accountants for income tax preparation and reviews prior to filing.
- Point person to any income tax audits or queries.
- Utilize One DA as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure accurate and effective financial information flows into One DA.
- Training / coaching of finance community on systems, technical accounting, processes, and best practices.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Deep knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS.
- Broad skill set in financial analysis, and financial forecasting required.
- A strong attention to detail, organized work style, ability to follow through on work assignments independently, and able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize activities in a multi-tasked environment required.
- Natural curiosity to explore complex problems and offer well-thought-out solutions.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with a multinational network.
- Strong business partner and relationship building capabilities across a diverse international group.
- Quick thinking and comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges.
- A self-starter; happy to pitch into the day-to-day where necessary.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, integrity, sound professional judgment, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Must possess an advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels in the organization.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (written, verbal, reading) required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field of study required. Advance degreed preferred.
