The growing “sharing economy” trend has turned the outdoor recreational equipment industry on its head.

People prefer to rent, not own.

With fewer people purchasing and owning outdoor equipment - equipment brands, retailers, and even local governments are scrambling to create convenient and affordable rental experiences to facilitate the public’s participation in outdoor sports.

Rent.Fun is a self-service recreational equipment rental company hat it makes it easy to roll out equipment rental programs, with no staff required.

We manufacture, deploy, and operate app-connected rental lockers in popular outdoor spaces that enable anyone to rent equipment on demand, right at the point of use, with a touch a button on the rent.fun mobile app.

Our first product is a self-service kayak rental station (think kayak vending machine) that uses bluetooth and cellular technology to enable the public to scan a qr code and unlock and rent a kayak by the waters edge. We offer a full-service solution to make it easy for our government agency customers - for each kayak rental station that we launch, we hire mechanics in that area to maintain the equipment and market the program locally so our government agency partners don’t have to do any work.

To date, we’ve helped 100+ cities across 35 US states launch new self-service recreational programs, establishing ourselves as a clear leader in this fast-growing industry.

**THE JOB**

We are looking for a dynamic leader to build and lead a team of Account Managers to support our growing list of government agency customers in the West region of the United States. **You will be the first hire for the Western US Region and you will be responsible for recruiting, leading, and managing a team of 3-5 additional Account representatives to manage our customers, mechanics, and equipment in your region.**

You and your team will be responsible for:

- Ensuring that our programs are well-maintained, and relationships with our customers are well-managed.
- Onboarding new customers (primarily government agencies)
- recruiting and managing mechanics in your region to maintain our Kayak Rental Station equipment

As team lead, you will be responsible for:

- developing and refining key KPIs for all of your team members
- consistently track performance on those KPIs (ideally weekly, if not monthly, depending on the KPI).
- meet individually with you team members on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to review their performance on their KPIs and to their identify their barriers to superior performance.
- experiment with new processes / solutions / approaches to address barriers raised by my team members
- consistently and succinctly report out on your team’s performance with mínimal support

**MUST HAVES**
- Excellent English language skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in a customer facing role, ideally in B2B industry
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and training part-time or full-time employees
- Highly tech-savvy - you have experience using a broad array of technology and communications tools and learn new tools quickly.
- Demonstrated experience / interest in start-ups.
- You understand business and finance fundamentals.
