Main Function

The Customer Information Researcher will leverage standardized research processes to enhance Grainger's understanding of our customers.

This role will collaborate with experts from various departments to eliminate process waste, identify opportunities for scale, optimize activities, and automate routine work.

By making actionable customer information available, we help Grainger market, sell, and deliver the best products and solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Actively curate and supplement customer information for all of Grainger, primarily through online research, focusing on identifying qualified prospects and accurately segmenting Grainger's current customers.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of standard research processes.
  • Execute processes that create customer information, such as conducting online research to confirm industry classification.
  • Assist in analysis – helping Grainger gain a deeper understanding of our customers and how to fulfill their MRO needs.
  • Present and share findings with peers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years post-undergraduate experience.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about Grainger's customers and business – a genuine interest in the MRO market is essential for success in this role.
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
