The brand is sold globally in over 75 countries with approximately 2,000 points of sale. Your role at Tumi: This role is responsible for defining and maximizing the appropriate merchandise mix for all TUMI DTC channels within a specific product category.
Select, align, and tailor the brand’s global strategic product objectives for the North America region, ensuring the product strategy is consistent with sales and branding goals. This person will determine which collections are carried in both full prices and outlet stores as well as the e-commerce site, as well as how broad the style/sku assortment will be for each collection. - This role will lead Omni Merchandising strategies and develop sales mix within a category for all NA DTC Channels, including Retail Stores, Ecommerce and Outlet locations. - In partnership with Product Management this role will influence the global assortment and support future development.
Provide product needs based on performance, trend information, and consumer feedback for the category in line with the overall business strategy, financial plan, and sku capacity. - Work side by side with Planning to develop seasonal collection plans and product investments. Drive decisions and strategies to ensure achievement of financial plans as well as inventory turn and GM goals. - This role will align the Omni Channel brand experience with the Retail Store and E-commerce teams, driving product flow and focus by category, campaign alignment and messaging, and traffic driving initiatives to achieve sales goals.
- Collaborate with Visual on seasonal collection flow ensuring product is merchandised to maximize brand focus and storytelling moments, collaborate on Window Rotations, Front Table changes and overall store experience. - Identify product opportunities and nuances via store visits, online research, Retail leadership, and consumer insights - Build out Store and E-commerce profiles to improve buying strategies and tailor assortments, including location, customer, competitive landscape, size / capacity. - Pilot test programs in both Brick and Mortar and E-commerce to obtain quantitative and qualitative feedback that identify risk / opportunities against future forecasts. We’re Excited if you have: 5+ years of experience in Retail Buying or Merchandising.
Vertical experience a plus. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. Experience in Womens Handbags and Accessories a strong preference Has managed a business of significant volume & option count. Ability to present product strategies to Senior leadership teams with clear verbal and written communication Highly proficient at multi-tasking: Able to work in a dynamic environment and shift between various tasks and responsibilities quickly.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel Skills and Microsoft Suite. E xperience creating charts, graphs and business presentations.
