Overview

We are seeking a Sales and Trade Development Manager to represent Colgate-Palmolive, managing relationships with clients based on trust and respect. The successful candidate will be responsible for marketing and developing product categories to increase sales profitably, improving distribution levels and market shares in accordance with our business principles.

About the Role

The Sales and Trade Development Manager will help prepare, negotiate, and implement joint business plans, marketing, and promotional campaigns to drive demand. They will forecast, develop, and supervise customer-specific plans to achieve commercial goals of net sales, share, margin, within budget spend. This role requires effective communication of plans to field teams for in-store support and visiting stores to understand implementation challenges and optimize future approaches.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships between Colgate-Palmolive and customers.
  • Implement CP's commercial strategies, ensuring accurate execution of 5Ps.
  • Enforce credit policies defined by CP.
  • Achieve sales targets of the assigned territory.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers, participate in Top to Top meetings, activity grid negotiation, Joint Business Planning monitoring.
  • Carry out administrative work of the account, including requests for credit notes, rebates, or support.
  • Conduct trade visits to find opportunities, competitors' activities, and ensure accurate 5Ps execution.
  • Manage customer inventory, ensuring accurate Days on Hand (DOH) by customer and on-point-of-sales both regular exhibition and additional off-shelf exhibition.
  • Analyze information generated through statistics to make informed decisions that benefit the company and the customer, such as promotional plans, negotiation, and monitoring of Growth Plans, programming, and offers planning for each customer, Joint Business Plan preparation.
  • Lead the execution of 5P strategy implementation within established commercial guidelines.
  • Drive incremental distribution and growth while increasing visibility with scale.
  • Proactively understand customers' needs and recommend solutions to different requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Marketing, and Engineering or related fields.
  • At least +2 years In Commercial Area/Trade Marketing in consumer goods company.
  • English level (Intermediate+).
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Tools.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
