Job Description:
As a Sales Representative at Marriott International, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty. This involves utilizing sales techniques to up-sell and promote brand awareness internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contacting appropriate individuals or departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems
- Determining and providing complimentary gifts to guests as tokens of appreciation
- Processing reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail
- Entering Marriott Rewards information into software when taking guest reservations
- Answering, recording, and processing guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns
- Performing general office duties to support Sales & Marketing, including filing, sending emails, typing, and faxing
- Assisting management in training and motivating employees
- Following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and protecting company assets
- Welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and thanking them with genuine appreciation
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to colleagues' concerns
- Monitoring performance to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Reading and visually verifying information in various formats
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- No supervisory experience required
