The job involves initiation and development of quality leads to ensure growth of catering sales and increase revenues and profits.What you will be doingMaximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current, and potential clients.Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements.Manage accounts ensuring pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.Maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue.Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities.Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.Represent hotels at trade shows.Maintain appropriate balance of account maintenance, prospecting for new business, and build profitable relationships with clients.Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production reports; as well as weekly and monthly sales activity reports.Assist the Director of Sales in developing specific goals and strategies in assigned territory to positively impact revenues.Detailed knowledge of property, space, capacities, concept, and food style (menus). Review and update menus, packages, and upgrades as requested to satisfy client needs and to maximize revenue.Be familiar with the hotel's competitive set and shared accounts.Communicate a clear sense of strategic direction and goals for assigned territories and markets.Maintains accurate and detailed notes and traces for accounts within the PMS and Catering Database.Join and attend appropriate market organizations.Supervise execution of Catering /banquets.What you need for the roleAssociates or Bachelors degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred.Proven track record in sales required and previous hospitality sales experience preferred. 5 years minExcel / Word/ Powerpoint / Gmail.CRM experienceBilingual preferred.The physical requirements for this position often require: Sitting for long periodUsing their hands and fingersConstant communication with others to exchange informationOccasionally stand and walk; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crunch or crawl.Must occasionally lift and/or pull/push up to ten (10) pounds.
Ability to adjust vision, requiring close and distance vision.Working EnvironmentIndoors office; often exposed to controlled temperature and office environment.
